Performance
Body Code is an open-lab performance between CCOV and Perte de Signal, presented during the Montréal Nuit Blanche 2018.
The piece is a result of a 4-day residency with Lucas Paris, Maxime Damecour, Naoto Hiéda and 6 dancers coming from different styles of dance:
7Starr, Angie Cheng, Jeff Hall, Louise Michel Jackson, Simon Portigal, and Elie-Ann Ross.
The lab consisted of a set of 4 interactive "playgrounds" controlled separately by each artist, and the music was made by Lucas Paris.
My installation consisted of a video projection on a portion of a reflective wall
(a mirror "dance class" wall).
Sensors were installed underneath two risers through which the dancer's movements interacted with the visual environment.
